Ethical responsibility is central to this project. We recognize that LGBTQ+ histories often involve experiences of risk, loss, and vulnerability.

• Participation is voluntary

• Narrators control how their interviews are used

• Options for anonymity, limited access, or delayed

release are available

• Consent is an ongoing process, not a one-time form

Narrators are never required to discuss topics they find uncomfortable. We honor personal limits and lived experience.

Interviews are stored securely and preserved with care to ensure long-term access while honoring agreed-upon restrictions.

Trust is not assumed—it is earned. We approach every interview with respect, patience, and gratitude.
